Leadership

Maranatha’s Board of Trustees has established a system of institutional governance. Some administrative functions are operational. Others are strategic. A description of each part of our administrative structure (the Executive, Strategy, and Leadership councils) and the current members of each are listed below.


Executive Council

Description

The Executive Council is comprised of the president, vice presidents, and other appointees. This council governs policy, personnel, finances, and interdepartmental issues needing executive resolution.

Strategy Council

Description

The Strategy Council is comprised of the president, vice presidents, directors of Information Technology and Institutional Research & Effectiveness, and selected members at large. The Strategy Council manages strategic projects flowing out of the Strategic Plan; reviews and updates the Systems Portfolio and Strategic Plan; monitors all accreditation efforts; and oversees integrating the quality program into the institution.

Leadership Council

Description

The Leadership Council is comprised of all academic department leaders (deans, directors, chairs, etc.), selected staff department leaders, and the president and vice presidents. The council enables leadership training and interdepartmental communication and facilitates collaboration. Meetings are scheduled on the school calendar. Opportunity is given for each member to succinctly share timely information related to the University or its stakeholders. Leadership Council members may serve periodically on Executive Council. The Leadership Council meets twice a month to share information and provide venues for collaboration.
