Meet the Acting Chair

Dr. Marvin Stephens is the Acting Department Chair of the Department of Applied Science. He earned a bachelor degree in Chemistry in 1965 and a doctorate in Chemistry from the University of Nebraska in 1972. Previous to being named Acting Department Chair, he taught chemistry in Maranatha classrooms. “I would like to see our students excel not only in their academic courses, but also as imitators of Christ,” Stephens says. “This involves diligence in the classroom and diligence in their daily walk with the Lord. To me, these two things are inseparable.”
