Dr. Corey Pfaffe came to Maranatha in 1989 to be Chief Financial Officer and part-time business faculty member, titles he held until 1993. He became the Dean of the School of Business in 1993. In 1989, Dr. Pfaffe began his own business, MinistryCPA, a ministry that has continued to the present. Before coming to Maranatha, he was Sole Proprietor in Eau Claire from 1986 to 1989. Dr. Pfaffe also served as Audit Manager with Roger W. Biesterveld (1979-1986) and was Staff Accountant at Burns & Enstad Public Accountants (1977-1979).

Dr. Pfaffe and his wife, Laurie, have been married since 1976. They have three married children, Cari, Kyle, and Micah. The Pfaffes are members of Calvary Baptist Church in Watertown, where Dr. Pfaffe is a deacon, Adult Bible Fellowship teacher, and children’s ministry worker. In his free time, Dr. Pfaffe takes daily walks, reads, golfs, and tours the country via motorcycle.
