Mr. David Handyside spent eight years teaching middle school grades in a public school. He helped to start a Christian school for one year and was Christian School Administrator for twenty-two years. He came to Maranatha with his wife in 2000.

Mr. Handyside is married to Margaret, who also teaches at Maranatha. They have two children, Kimberly and Timothy. The Handysides attend Calvary Baptist Church in Watertown, where Mr. Handyside serves as a deacon, Junior Church teacher, and Sunday School teacher when necessary. Mr. Handyside’s favorite food is applesauce, and as far as presidents go, Abraham Lincoln and George Washington hold a tie as his two favorites. He loves the Green Bay Packers and the St. Louis Cardinals.
