Jerry Kolwinska is experienced in Christian school education. He taught secondary English and history from 1973-1979 before being named principal at First Baptist School in Rosemount, MN, a title he held from 1979-1991. Before coming to Maranatha in 1994, Mr. Kolwinska also filled the role of principal at Parkview Christian School in Lincoln, NE from 1991-1994.

Mr. Kolwinska and his wife, Marcele, have two sons and a daughter. Marcele also taught for forty-four years before retiring from Maranatha. Mr. Kolwinska claims that, being from Minnesota, he was originally a Vikings fan, but gave up that practice in 1970 after they lost two Super Bowls. As he now lives in Wisconsin, he cheers for the Packers with the rest of the state. His favorite missionary is Hudson Taylor because of “his perseverance despite the obstacles and criticism he endured.” Mr. Kolwinska enjoys gardening and working with model railroading.
