About Mrs. Crum
The Pensacola Christian College graduate earned a Master of Science in Nursing at the University of South Alabama (with a 4.0 GPA). She was a member of the Nursing faculty at Pensacola from 1993-2001 and taught undergraduate and graduate students for the University of Phoenix Online from 2002-2009. She became a trainer, mentor, and workshop facilitator with Phoenix Online and moved into administration, working with nearly 1,000 contracted nursing faculty members. Prior to joining the Pensacola faculty, she was a staff nurse at six different healthcare facilities.
Kelly Crum was raised in a godly home, saved at age 5, and baptized soon afterward. One of her greatest blessings is being able to disciple other women, especially in the role of being a godly mother and wife. She loves to read Christian books of all kinds and enjoys hiking and camping with her family.
What Mrs. Crum loves about teaching at Maranatha
“I have been praying that the Lord would open the door for me to work in a Christian institution teaching nursing. My motivation stems from a desire to have an impact on the lives of nursing students that will last for eternity. To be able to instill the passion of what it is to be a Christian nurse and how that can change the life of a student as well as the lives of those around them … that is motivation enough.”
Kelly and her husband, Dr. Jeff Crum, attend Calvary Baptist Church in Watertown. She has homeschooled all four of her sons. At her previous church, Kelly was active in the handbell choir, Women’s Missionary Fellowship, Moms’ Bible Study, and the LaCruz ministry to Hispanic people.
