Before coming to Maranatha, Mr. Mielke was the campus photographer and photography teacher at Pillsbury Baptist Bible College for two and a half years. He also started Milky Way Photography in 2006 to help remain relevant in classroom instruction. Tim Mielke came to Maranatha in 2009 as Instructor, teaching photography and digital media classes. He became Assistant Professor in 2011 and teaches classes largely within the Communication Arts program. He is Director of Photography for the Communications Office.

Tim and his wife, Nancy, met in high school and junior high respectively and started dating while they were both college students at Pillsbury. They were married in 2006 and have one son, Noah. Together, Tim and Nancy head up the visual presentation ministry at Calvary Baptist Church in Watertown, where they are members. He is passionate about spreading the gospel through creating quality visual communications for churches and missionaries. Mr. Mielke’s favorite food is spaghetti and his favorite sports team is the Minnesota Vikings.
