Coach Ruth Steinbart

Ruth Steinbart enters her first season as the head coach of the men’s and women’s cross country teams with the goal of producing better runners in a fun way. “A lot of people view running as a miserable activity, but we’re trying to change that perception by incorporating fun activities that enhance the workouts, like scavenger hunts or competitions between runners,” stated Steinbart.

She is joined this year by assistant coach, Paul Zdroik, who recently ran in the Boston Marathon and provides valuable insight to a young team.

Steinbart, a 2010 graduate of Maranatha who now resides in Hartland, WI, has participated in four half-marathons and multiple 5k’s, and currently works in the athletic department as the Administrative Assistant.
