Ruth Steinbart received the title of head coach for the men’s and women’s cross country teams in 2013, with a goal of winning Nationals this season after a 3rd place finish by the men, and 4th place finish by the women last season, in Cedarville, Ohio. The Men’s Cross-Country team won first place in 2014 and the Women’s Cross-Country team took 2nd place at Nationals. Steinbart was awarded as the NCCAA DII Men’s Coach of the Year.
Steinbart, a 2010 graduate of Maranatha who now resides in Watertown, Wisconsin, has participated in multiple half-marathons and 5k’s, and currently works in the athletic department as the Administrative Assistant.
She is joined by assistant coach, Paul Zdroik, who serves on staff at the Watertown Area YMCA and has competed in marathons across the country, including the Boston Marathon.
