Crusader Athletes Earn NAC All-Conference Awards

WATERTOWN, Wis. – Eight Crusader athletes were honored recently in the Northern Athletics Conference, with All-Conference Recognition for cross country, men’s, and women’s soccer, and volleyball.

In cross country, William O’Malley (Rockford, Ill.) was named to the All-Northern Athletics Conference Cross Country Team after recording the fifth-fastest time at 26:53.8. On the women’s side, Lauren Stephens (Chicago, Ill.) was Honorable Mention with a time of 25:06.3.

For volleyball, senior outside hitter Torey DeLozier (Watertown, Wis.), and middle blocker Laci Peterson (Chillicothe, Ill.) were named First Team All-Northern Athletics Conference.

DeLozier leads the conference in kills (453), and kills per set (5.96) and also leads the NCAAIII with 6.04 kills per set.

Peterson’s efficiency in attacking has led her to 287 kills at a 3.99 clip on a .369 hitting percentage.

This season marks the first time for Maranatha that two student-Athletes have made the First Team since joining the conference in 2006. It was also the first time for Peterson and the fourth for DeLozier.

In men’s soccer, midfielders; Drew DeLozier (Watertown, Wis.), Brian Lundquist (Reading, Mass.), and Taylor Pill (Watertown, Wis.) were Honorable Mention, as Pill led the team in goals (9), and points (22), while Lundquist notched four goals and three assists for 11 points.

In women’s soccer, senior midfielder Jocelyn Enrique (Anahoca, Hawaii) was also Honorable mention, ranking second on the team in goals (8), and points (22).
