Warriors Topple Crusaders

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The #1 ranked Wisconsin Lutheran Warriors handily defeated the Crusaders 90-61 on Thursday night.

Wisconsin Lutheran’s Alyssa Allister led the attack with 17 points off 5-7 three-point shooting, while the team followed up with 50% shooting from the field and 54% from beyond the arc.

Maranatha shot 40% from the field in the game, but could not stem the tide with the Warriors blowing open a 32-point lead in the second half.

Three Crusaders scored in double-digits, with sophomore center Laci Peterson leading the way with 17 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks.

Junior forward Torey DeLozier (Watertown, Wis.) finished with 14 points and two steals while junior guard Kristin Morrison (Jefferson, Wis.) chipped in 13 points on 5-9 shooting.

The loss to Wisconsin Lutheran drops Maranath to 13-11, and 7-11 in the NAC. The Crusaders will host the NCCAAII Midwest Regional Tournament on Thursday, February 23, with the opening game tip-off scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
