Eagles Cruise To 10-0 Win Over Crusaders

MADISON, Wis. – Maranatha ran into a brick wall in the form of the Edgewood Eagles, losing 10-0 on Thursday afternoon.

The Eagles posted goals at the 12 and 15 minute marks en route to a 5-0 halftime lead. Edgewood continued the barrage with three quick goals within five minutes of each other in the second half, and held Maranatha to five shots (three on goal).

Senior Jocelyn Enrique (Anahoca, Hawaii) had two shots on goal, while senior Allison Steinhaus (Winston Salem, N.C.) recorded two shots (one on goal).

Freshman goalkeeper Michala Marino (Grand Blanc, Mich.) took the loss, while junior keeper Ginny Martin (Huntingdon, Pa.) had seven saves, allowing five goals.

The Crusaders face Dominican University in River Forest, Ill. At 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 22.
