AD3I Tabs Boogher as Student Athlete of the Month

Womens-Softball-Team-2014_14-BoogherWATERTOWN, WI – Maranatha softball player Emily Boogher has been named the Student Athlete of the Month for March, after batting a scintillating, .714 from the plate.

Boogher, a sophomore from York, PA, went 10-14 from the plate last month, and notched her second career home run, along with five RBI’s. The sophomore had no trouble reaching base for Maranatha, sporting a .765 on base percentage and 1.071 slugging percentage.

The sophomore shortstop notched a hit in all five games for the Crusaders, including three multi-hit games and scored five runs. She recorded her most productive day of the month against North Central on March 21st, going 1-2 with a home run and four RBI’s before concluding the day 5-7 against Crown and Martin Luther later in the day.

The Player of the Week on March 25th currently leads the team with eight RBI on the season and paces the Association with a .562 batting average.
