KENOSHA, Wis. – The Crusaders were back in action, competing in the Midwest Collegiate Open in Kenosha, Wis. on Saturday.
For the men, William O’Malley (Rockford, Ill.) finished 75th overall with a time of 28:35 and Michael Kluver finished with a time of 30:09.1.
Kluver has already shaved off 34 seconds from this time last year and even beat out his previous best of 30:10.63 at the 2011 NCCAA Nationals.
Behind Kluver was Robert Truax (Lexington, S.C.) with a time of 32:50.1 and Andrew Domsic (Mattawan, Mich.) recording a time of 32:52.6.
Junior Jeremy McPhillips (Georgetown, Ill.) posted a time of 33:58.5
For the women, Lauren Stephens (Chicago, Ill.) ran a time of 20:58.4 for 70th place and Kimberly Richerson ran 23:30.9 as the second Crusader to cross the finish line.
Newcomer Rebecca Wenthold (Atkinson, Ill.) came in as the third Crusader, clocking in at 24:19.7 and Allison Schultz ran a 27:35.5 time.
The team races next on Saturday, September 15 at 11:00 a.m. at the Concordia-Wisconsin Open.
