Crusaders blank Regents

WATERTOWN, Wis. – Maranatha won 1-0 on Saturday against Rockford for their first win in the NAC.

Freshman forward Taylor Pill (Watertown, Wis.) hammered in the winning goal off a backdoor opportunity with the assist from sophomore midfielder Brian Lundquist (Reading, Mass.).

The Crusaders passed the ball well throughout the game creating quality scoring opportunities but were denied on many by Rockford keeper Mick Goulding. Goulding finished the game with 14 saves. Maranatha pushed 15 shots on goal out of 28 total shots.

The men’s soccer team will be back in action on Thursday, October 6 at home against MSOE at 4:00 p.m.
