Crusaders defeat Wisconsin Lutheran

MILWAUKEE, Mil. – The Crusaders knocked off NAC opponent Wisconsin Lutheran 3-1 Friday night in a matchup that proved the Crusaders’ meddle.

Maranatha went through a grueling fourth set but came out victorious with a 31-29 win.

Junior outside hitter Torey DeLozier (Watertown, Wis.) notched a double-double with 29 kills and 17 digs while sophomore hitter Laci Peterson (Chillicothe, Ill.) hammered out 16 kills and a solo block.

Junior libero Hallie Nelson totaled 21 digs on defense.

Wisconsin Luther is the fourth ranked team and Maranatha the fifth with a 6-4 record in the NAC. They are currently 16-5 overall.

Maranatha will host Alverno on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. for Parent’s Day.
