Crusaders Wrestle Three Matches Against Northland

DUNBAR, Wis. – The Crusaders wrestled only three matches on Thursday night, losing 24-21 against Northland International in Dunbar.

In what turned out to be odd matchups, the Crusaders and Pioneers had only three official duels.

In the first match, freshman wrestler Jordan Dersch (Prattville, Ala.) won an 11-5 decision against Charles Haines in the 285 weight class.

In the 133 class, sophomore Phil Hadley (Owosso, Mich.) lost by fall to Sam Rekstroh, while Josiah Brendemuehl pinned Ivan Steward in 1:37 in the 174 weight class.

In exhibition matches, sophomore wrestler Jesse Gjefle (Ontario, Wis.) won by fall, pinning Charles Haines in 2:10.

Hadley also won an exhibition match, pinning Tyler Latini in 1:32.

The Crusaders host Northland on Thursday, February 16 at 6:00 p.m.
