Eagles Defeat Crusaders

WATERTOWN, Wis. – The #1 NAC ranked Benedictine won 41-7 against the Crusaders on Saturday afternoon. Sophomore running back Micah Burt (Cheney, Kans.) was injured early in the game and could not return.

Benedictine’s high-powered offense amasses 495 yards on offense, with 260 yards rushing. Maranatha could not contain conference leader John Borsellino, who powered his way to two touchdowns.

Senior quarterback Phil Littrell (Valrico, Fla.) struggled against a tough Benedictine defense, throwing several interceptions and not finding rhythm.

Sophomore safety Josiah Brendemuehl (Mishicot, Wis.) amassed 19 total tackles while senior defensive end Ethan Rosen had 15 tackles and half a sack.

Junior linebacker Ethan Lane (Atlanta, Ga.) recorded an interception and had 15 tackles as well.

The Crusaders are away next week at Concordia Chicago at 1:00 p.m.
