Edgewood seals victory against Crusaders

WATERTOWN, Wis. – Fresh off an 83-25 victory over the Emmaus Eagles, Maranatha suffered their first loss of the season to Edgewood, 75-60.

The Crusaders held a 10-7 lead on a layup by sophomore guard Heidi Fletcher (Riverdale, Mich.) at the 13:40 mark in the first half.

Maranatha held Edgewood at bay through the first 10 minutes of the game, but entered halftime down 36-26.

Edgewood maintained a 10 point lead for most of the second half, and pulled away with the win.

Junior forward Torey DeLozier (Watertown, Wis.) was the high scorer at 15 points and 6 rebounds.

Sophomore center Laci Peterson came away with 10 points, seven rebounds and three blocked shots while junior guard Autumn Peotter (Waupaca, Wis.) notched 12 points, seven rebounds and three assists.

The Crusaders move on to face Moody Bible at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday at the NCCAA Regional Tip-Off at Northland.
