WATERTOWN, Wis. — Junior football linebacker Ethan Kennon (Raleigh, NC) has recently been recognized as the NCAA DIII National Statistical Champion in tackles per game (15.8) for the 2013 regular season. Kennon, a junior Physical Education major, is a three-year player for the Crusaders who took on the role as defensive leader of this year’s team. The linebacker’s highest tally of the season came on October 12th against Concordia-Wisconsin, as the junior recorded 27 tackles (11 solo). Recording double-digit tackles in nine out of the ten regular season games, Kennon finished the year with 158 total tackles and 2 sacks.
