Peterson Named AD3I Women’s Volleyball Player Of The Week

Laci PetersonWATERTOWN, WI – Maranatha senior middle blocker Laci Peterson (Chillicothe, Ill.) has been selected as the Association of Division III Independents women’s volleyball Player of the Week.

Peterson was the offensive catalyst for the Crusaders during their 3-1 week as she recorded a .301 hitting percentage with 61 kills, 13 blocks and 24 digs in guiding her team to the Grace Bible Classic Tournament championship this past weekend.

The senior began the week with an impressive 19-kill, seven-dig performance in a five-set loss to Wisconsin Lutheran on Tuesday and concluded with a combined 35 kills between Maranatha’s straight-set victories over Grace Bible (Mich.) and Ohio Christian, hitting above .400 in both matches. Peterson finished the week with impressive marks of 4.36 kills per set, 0.93 blocks per set and 5.0 points per set.
