FOND DU LAC, Wis. – The Marian Sabres shut down the Maranatha offense, and peppered the team with 30 shots (18 on net), in a 10-0 rout on Tuesday evening.

Marian scored six goals in the first half, four of which came in a span of 10 minutes, but sophomore forward Taylor Thompson (Bristol, Wis.) nearly put Maranatha on the scoreboard with a shot that hit the crossbar at 54 minutes.

Freshman goalkeeper Michala Marino (Grand Blanc, Mich.) had eight saves, allowing 10 goals in 90 minutes, and the team dropped to 6-12, and 3-9 in the NAC.

The team travels to Grand Rapids, Mich. on Friday, October 26 for the NCCAAII Midwest Regional Tournament hosted by Grace Bible College.

Maranatha will face Lincoln Christian at 1:00 p.m. EST, and Northland faces Grace Bible at 3:30 p.m. EST. The winners will face-off in the Region Championship on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. EST.
