RIPON, WI – The women’s team excelled at the Ripon Invitational on Saturday, placing third out of seven teams, while the men’s team took fifth place.
The ladies totaled 100 points, behind only UW-Oshkosh (58) in 2nd place, and Ripon (39) in 1st place. Maranatha was led by sophomore Margo Watson (Atlanta, GA), who finished in fourth place overall with a 25:10 while sophomore Kimberly Richerson clocked in at 27:40 in 15th place.
Junior Michelle Kramlich (Milford, DE) notched a time of 31:16 with sophomore Caitlin Ebert crossing the finish line a second later at 31:17.
On the men’s side, Robert Truax (Lexington, S.C.) posted a time of 32:17.16 for 31st place while Michael Kluver (Sauk Centre, MN) followed up at a pace of 33:24.23.
Sophomore runner Kris Black was the third Maranatha runner to cross the finish line at 36:43.42 and Benjamin Peden (Hill AFB, UT) posted a time of 37:22.41.
The women’s and men’s teams look forward to an Invitational hosted by Concordia University Wisconsin on Saturday, September 14 at 11:00 a.m.
