Crusaders Roll With Seventh Straight Win

ROCKFORD, Ill. – Maranatha volleyball continued its dominance, going 7-0 with a 3-0 sweep of the Rockford Regents on Thursday evening in Rockford.

Maranatha scorched the Regents in set one by a score of 25-9 and won 25-12 and 25-11 in sets two and three. The team only needed 42 kills to win, receiving 13 of those from senior outside hitter Torey DeLozier (Watertown, Wis.). DeLozier also finished with 10 digs.

Sophomore Laci Peterson finished with 11 kills and five assists, while senior libero Hallie Sheley (Rockford, Ill.) had 13 digs on defense.

Pam Borchardt (Watertown, Wis.) finished with 10 assists and two blocks (one solo).

The Crusaders held the Regents to a .054 attack percentage in as many attack attempts as Maranatha (92).

The team moves on to a matchup against Concordia Wisconsin on Tuesday, September 18 at 7:00 p.m. at home.
