Crusaders Thump Archers

Autumn PeotterCHICAGO, Ill. – The women’s basketball team made quick work of the Moody Bible Archers, winning 69-27 on Thursday evening in Chicago, Ill.

Maranatha put on a clinic behind senior guard Autumn Peotter’s 22-point performance. Peotter shot 67% from the field on 8-12 shooting and hit three of six three-pointers while grabbing seven rebounds.

As a team, Maranatha shot 44% from the field and had just four turnovers in comparison to Moody’s 26. The Crusaders’ dominance on defense held the Archers to just 16% field goal shooting and seven percent from three-point range.
Senior guard Hallie Sheley (Rockford, Ill.) finished with 13 points on 38% shooting while dishing out four assists and grabbing three rebounds.

Senior forward Torey DeLozier (Watertown, Wis.) grabbed 10 rebounds and had six points.
Maranatha faces Benedictine University at home on Saturday at 5:00 p.m.
