WATERTOWN, Wis. – Senior midfielder Jocelyn Enrique (Anahoca, Hawaii) notched her first hat trick of the season in a 6-2 victory over the Alverno Inferno on Saturday afternoon.
Senior midfielder Allison Steinhaus (Winston Salem, N.C.) scored first for her third goal of the season at 18 minutes with the assist by Enrique, who followed up three minutes later with her third of the season. Sophomore forward Taylor Thompson’s goal at 25 minutes gave Maranatha a 3-1 cushion.
Steinhaus and Enrique controlled the second period, scoring all three goals and putting the final nail in the coffin.
Enrique finished with three goals and two assists on 10 shots (six on net) while Steinhaus finished with two goals.
Goalkeeper Ginny Martin (Huntingdon, Pa.) recorded win number three, recording six saves and allowing two goals.
The team totaled 23 shots (15 on net), while Alverno recorded 16 shots (eight on net).
The ladies play Beloit on Monday, September 17 at 4:30 p.m. in Watertown.
