Dr. David Brown came to Maranatha in 2003 with experience teaching and directing music in a variety of settings. He provided lessons as an independent music teacher; lectured in master classes; taught music, band and choir in a Christian school; directed church choirs; and was the church music coordinator or music pastor in two different churches. In addition to teaching music courses and private lessons, Dr. Brown directs the Madrigal and Handbell Choir and the Symphonic Band.
Dr. Brown says, “God very clearly called us here in 2003. I believe strongly in the mission of MBU. I’ve been inspired by men who love the Lord and have a passion for musical excellence, and I want to do my part in instilling a love for God and a love for music in the lives of my students.”
