Steve Dickson, Vice President and Controller from Wisconsin Energy Corporation, was guest speaker at MBU's 2014 Economic Breakfast sponsored by Town and Country Bank. Mr. Dickson challenged students to “learn how to learn and continue learning.” Over 70 local businesses were on campus for his presentation, "An Economic Forecast for 2014."

Steve Dickson serves as vice president and controller and principal accounting officer for Wisconsin Energy Corp. and We Energies. Dickson is responsible for the external financial information that is filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission as well as other regulatory agencies. He also is responsible for internal reporting, closing the books and supporting the company’s business units in financial matters. Dickson also leads the company’s transaction processing activities including payroll, accounts payable and property accounting.
Dickson joined the company as controller in 2000 as a result of Wisconsin Energy’s acquisition of WICOR, the former holding company for Wisconsin Gas. Dickson joined WICOR in 1998 as controller. Prior to WICOR, he worked for Arthur Andersen for 15 years.
Dickson earned his Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Okla. in 1983. He became a Certified Public Accountant in 1985 and passed the Certified Internal Audit exam in 1997. Dickson is a member of the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
