Conservatory of the Ozarks (Springfield, Missouri) owned by Heather Leverich, won the “2013 Best of Springfield Award in the Fine Art Schools.” This award is given to a business that achieves exemplary marketing success and enhances the community through exceptional customer service. The Springfield Award Program uses both internal and third party sources to analyze data for selecting the winner. Conservatory of the Ozarks has also won other honors including the prestigious “Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year” Nominee in 2009
Heather Leverich graduated with a music degree from Maranatha in 2006 and is currently pursing a MM at Concordia University in Mequon, WI during the summers.
When asked about Conservatory of the Ozarks’ mission, Leverich shared that they are eager to glorify God by providing the highest quality of instruction to private music, art and drama students of all ages. Leverich maintains an atmosphere of excellence by only hiring faculty with accredited bachelor’s and/or master’s degrees in their fields. Both students and teachers from the conservatory are frequent performers in local concerts, recitals, competitions, and auditions, and their accomplishments are regularly featured in local newspapers. Leverich partially attributes her success to the fact that the conservatory offers much more than traditional private lessons, ensembles, master classes, and concerts. For example, her conservatory provides a recording studio for clients, offers an internship and apprenticeship program, and hosts music competitions, workshops, talent shows, and community outreach events.
Leverich’s Conservatory of the Ozarks provides an aspiring model for current pedagogy students at Maranatha, and Maranatha’s music faculty congratulate Heather on her fantastic accomplishments!
