What makes a workplace great? Ask the employees at MBU who completed a workplace survey and garnered recognition for MBU for being one of the Top Workplaces in southeastern Wisconsin—and the only one in Watertown.
As a medium sized organization with close to 200 employees, MBU was recognized for being an institution where employees find their jobs “rewarding and meaningful”—high praise according to University President Dr. Marriott.
“Yes, we strive to work in an excellent way for the good of our students and the University as a whole, but the greater motivation is to do our work heartily, as unto the Lord,” states Marriott. “Working toward a common goal—pleasing God first—unifies us as an institution. What could be more meaningful or rewarding than doing our work to His glory?”
The Top Workplaces are determined solely on employee feedback via an employee survey conducted by WorkplaceDynamics, LLP, a leading research firm on organizational health and employee engagement.
The survey assesses the fundamentals of the company, such as its values, execution, leadership, and culture. Other categories include the day-to-day job, with questions about managers, pay, training, and work/life balance. Employees are also asked about their overall feelings of motivation, wanting to stay, and wanting to recommend.
