Parking

Regulations pertain to all licensed vehicles (automobiles, trucks, motorcycles, etc.).

  • Parking fees are subject to change annually.
  • If you are unable to park in your assigned area, notify Campus Security promptly.
  • You may park in designated faculty/staff areas only when the following conditions exist:
    • It is after 5 p.m. Monday-Friday or it is the weekend.
    • The “Open Parking” sign is posted.
    • Parking is restricted due to an announced event.
  • You are never to park in spaces identified as Reserved, Visitors, or Authorized Vehicles Only, or are designated as handicap parking (without a handicap hangtag or license plate).
  • From November 15 to April 1, no overnight parking is permitted in the east parking lot (east side of Main Building), upper faculty/staff parking lot (behind the Alumni Services building), or the parking lot on the north side of the gym or the lot behind the Dining Hall to facilitate snow removal. Violators will be ticketed.
  • Vehicles not in operating condition may not be left on campus for extended periods of time. Abandoned vehicles will be towed away at the owner’s expense.

Welcome Center Circle

The Welcome Center Circle is open for visitors only. Please do not park in the circle. Citations will be issued.

Parking (On-Campus Students)

  • Must park on campus.
  • Must keep your vehicles in their assigned lots during required functions.
  • May park in off-campus lots during the afternoon, evening, and weekend hours.
  • Must move vehicles to designated and announced parking areas if left on campus during Thanksgiving or Christmas break.

Parking (Off-Campus Students)

  • May park only in the designated off-campus lots or on city streets.
  • May not park on campus at any time without paying the parking fee. Violators will be charged the parking fee and issued a vehicle sticker in addition to being fined for the parking violation (see Penalties).

Break Parking (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Spring Break)

  • All vehicles are to be parked on the Men’s gravel lot during the break.
  • Cars MUST be moved to the Men’s gravel lot by 7:00 pm the last school day before the break.
  • Vehicles not parked on the Men’s gravel lot will be towed at the student’s expense.
  • The University assumes no responsibility for vehicles left on campus.

Summer Parking

You may leave a vehicle parked on campus during the summer. Please observe the following guidelines:
  • Park your vehicle in the Men’s gravel lot.
  • Lock the vehicle.
  • Turn a set of vehicle keys in to the Student Life Office in an envelope marked with your name and a description of your vehicle.
  • A $15 summer parking fee is assessed unless you are traveling with one of Maranatha’s summer groups.
  • The University assumes no responsibility for vehicles left on campus for the summer.
