MEQUON, Wis. – The cross country team finished strong at the Concordia-Wisconsin Invitational on Saturday afternoon, highlighted by a strong individual performance from senior runner Lauren Stephens (Chicago, Ill.).
Stephens (Chicago, Ill.) set a personal record of 25:08.8, shattering last year’s 25:29.6 mark and finishing 30th overall.
Senior Cari Cook (Napoleon, Mich.) also set a personal record of 29:20.5 and Kimberly Richerson (Elmwood, Ill.) was the second Crusader to cross the finish line at 27:57.0.
On the men’s side, William O’Malley finished ninth overall at a time of 26:58.6 and Mike Kluver (Sauk Centre, Minn.) set a personal record time of 29:05.5.
Junior runner Jeremy McPhillips (Georgetown, Ill.) notched a 31:05.9 and Andrew Domsic (Mattawan, Mich.) clocked in at 31:34.3.
The Crusaders race next at the Wisconsin Lutheran Invitational on Saturday, October 6 at 11:00 a.m.
