Dr. Morris Gleiser will be ministering this year for Maranatha’s annual Winter Revival Meetings, Jan. 12-15, 2015.
Evening services will take place Jan. 12 and 13 at 7 p.m. in the gymnasium. Morning chapel services will be Jan. 12-15, also in the gymnasium.
Morris Gleiser was born and raised in a Christian home. He received Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at the age of six through the influence of his godly father and mother. He surrendered his life to the Lord at the age of eight. He actually heard the call of God to the ministry at the age of eighteen, and became burdened for teenagers a year later. He entered Bob Jones University (where he met his wife, Lynn) in the fall of 1972 and graduated with a four-year degree in three years. Upon graduation, Morris and Lynn went to minister at the Providence Baptist Church in Riverview, Florida, where he was the church’s youth pastor. He served as Youth and Associate pastor for fourteen years. In the winter of 1987, Morris felt the definite call of God to revival work and evangelism, yet he continued to carry a burden for young people. In May of 1989, after much prayer, Morris became the director of WEST BRANCH. With the urging of the Lord, Morris sensed the need to return to a local church ministry. In March of 1994 he joined the pastoral staff of the Tri-City Baptist Church in the Kansas City, Missouri area where he served as the Youth Pastor. In the summer of 2000, Morris entered fulltime Evangelism/Revival work as the Staff Evangelist of the Burge Terrace Baptist Church in Indianapolis, Indiana. His desire is to continue to minister to young and old alike through evangelism and a strong pulpit ministry.
The revival meetings are a Maranatha tradition that helps encourage a proper spiritual focus by students as the semester begins. The Herbster Evangelistic Team ministered during the Winter 2014 Revival Meetings.
