Warriors overwhelm Crusaders

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Crusader football team had no answer for Wisconsin Lutheran’s offense as they fell 61-0 on Saturday.

The Warriors controlled the ball for 40 minutes opposed to Maranatha’s 20 minutes and created turnovers. Maranatha managed 100 yards of total offense while the Warriors piled up 570.

The Crusaders did not allow any sacks but senior quarterback Phil Littrell (Valrico, Fla.) could not find a rhythm and was intercepted four times.

Sophomore wide receiver Joel Kobosh finished with two receptions for 25 yards while sophomore wide receiver/safety Josiah Brendemuehl finished with a  reception for 20 yards.

Brendemuehl led the defense with 15 total tackles (7 solo) and senior defensive end Ethan Rosen (New Munich, Minn.) also had 15 total tackles.  Linebackers Rob Kohlhaus (Marion, Mich.) and Ethan Lane (Atlanta, Ga.) finished with 12 and 11 tackles respectively.

The Crusaders are now 2-2 and hope to shake off the rust against Concordia-Wisconsin at home on Saturday, October 8 at 1:00 p.m.
