Humanities Intern Spotlight: Emily Wilson

This spring semester, MBU senior Humanities major/Dramatic Productions minor Emily Wilson has immersed herself in an internship with Overshadowed Theatrical Productions, a faith-based theater in Medinah, Illinois. Emily specifically changed her major to humanities because it offered an internship and flexibility to choose a minor. Though she has had opportunities to work on stage crew, act in plays, and direct a one-act play, internship offers experience to see theory in tangible operation on a professional level.

in a recent episode of From the Wings, Overshadowed artistic producer Reba Hervas interviewed Emily. In a lively exchange, she asked, “Why theater?” “Where would your life be without theater?” Anticipating positive feedback, she also asked Emily to identify beneficial aspects of the internship.
