Alumni Siblings Perform Guest Recital

Duos Through the Centuries, a recent guest recital performed by MBU alumni siblings Joseph and Melody Steinbart, featured the beautiful music of Mozart, Shostakovich, and Handel, among others. The melodies from these composers whisked the audience away to another era—another century if you will.

About the Performers

Sibling duo Joseph and Melody Steinbart are alumni of Maranatha Baptist University. They both attended Maranatha’s Music Prep School where they both now teach their instruments to future generations of musicians.

Melody Steinbart graduated from MBU with a bachelor’s degree in String Pedagogy and pursued a Masters in Violin Performance from East Carolina University. Along with performing across Southeast Wisconsin and North Carolina, Melody has also held the roles of concertmaster for both the East Carolina University Symphony and Maranatha Baptist University Symphony Orchestras. Miss Steinbart currently sits on the music faculty at Maranatha teaching courses such as Harmony and Music History, and String Pedagogy.
