Remembering Dr. Thomas Farrell

The Maranatha family grieves with the family of Dr. Thomas Clay Farrell who passed away Monday, July 26, 2021.

He is survived by his wife, Regina, children, Ben, Beth, and Becky. Please be in prayer for his wife, children, and grandchildren during this time.

Dr. Farrell ministered at Maranatha many times and touched the lives of students, faculty, and staff. Dr. Marty Marriott, President of Maranatha, shares, “In a 2013 meeting which few will forget, the Holy Spirit moved in a wonderful way among the student body with many responding to the Lord. Brother Farrell’s passionate preaching will be greatly missed.”

Fellow evangelist Mark Herbster shared in a Facebook post on Tuesday, July 27, “I used to hear him preach when I was a teenager, and I would think ‘I hope I can be an evangelist like him.’” Herbster traveled with Dr. Farrell for several years. He continued in the post, “Other than my father, no one has impacted me more than he did. … I will be eternally grateful for my friend Tom Farrell.”
