A Student’s Guide to Visiting Campus in 2020
2020 has been a crazy year.
Students are still experiencing changes in their class schedules, sport game opponents, and work procedures. With everything going on, nobody knows what to expect about the days to come. But, for you seniors out there, Maranatha wants to make your college decision process as easy and normal as it can possibly be.
With that, we still want you to experience college here at MBU and visit campus. Spending a weekend here will not only give you a general look into college life, but it will show you that you can truly feel at home here. Things you can do when you visit:
- Take a campus tour
- Attend classes
- Order coffee at Old Main Cafe
- Join chapel
- Visit the campus store
- Watch the Sabercats dominate in the home game
- Eat in the dining hall
These are only a handful of ways for you to familiarize yourself with MBU’s campus. As a student myself, interacting with the campus and participating in these activities really made my choice easier. It made me feel comfortable and excited to come – and that’s what we want for you!
You may have questions about COVID and classes and sports and homework. Even though the situation always seems to be changing, here are some questions you can ask us:
- What are your COVID precautions?
- How many classes should I take?
- What ministry opportunities can I get involved with?
- What is dorm life like?
- How can I get involved in sports?
- What are chapels like?
- What’s the best thing to eat at dinner?
While we know not every college is the right choice for you, we want this visit to stand out to you and make you feel at home. This weekend will be the best opportunity you will take to really know what college is like here at MBU, even during all the craziness of this year.
We are excited to have you visit and experience MBU’s campus. See you soon!
