AS 101 – Foundations of US Air Force 1 (1)

Introduces students to the Air Force Reserve officer Training Corps. Featured topics include: mission and organization of the Air force, officership and professionalism, military customs and courtesies, Air force officer opportunities, and an introduction to communication skills. Open to all students. Leadership lab activities open only to ROTC students. (1 credit hour) Offered as needed.

AS 101L – Leadership Lab

A study of Air Force customs and courtesies, drill and ceremonies, issuing military commands, instructing, directing and evaluating the preceding skills, studying the environment of an Air Force officer, and learning about areas of opportunity as available to commissioned officers. Planning and controlling of military activities of the cadet corps, preparation and presentation of briefings and other oral and written communications. Providing interviews, guidance, and information which will increase the understanding, motivation, and performance of other cadets. (0 credit hours) Offered as needed.

AS 102 – Foundations of US Air Force 2 (1)

Continuation of AS 101. Open to all students. Leadership lab activities open only to ROTC students. (1 credit hour) Offered as needed.

AS 201 – Evolution of Air and Space Power 1 (1)

Examines air and space power through a historical perspective. Covers a time period from the first balloons to the space-age global positioning system. Further develops communication skills. Open to all students. Leadership lab activities open only to ROTC students. (1 credit hour) Offered as needed.

AS 202 – Evolution of Air and Space Power 2 (1)

Continuation of AS 201. Open to all students. Leadership lab activities open only to ROTC students. (1 credit hour) Offered as needed.

AS 303 – Air Force Leadership Studies 1 (3)

Topics include leadership, management fundamentals, professional knowledge, personnel and evaluation systems. Includes leadership ethics and communication skills required of an Air Force junior officer. Case studies to exercise practical applications of the course content. Open to all students. Leadership lab activities open only to ROTC students. (3 credit hours) Offered as needed.

AS 304 – Air Force Leadership Studies 2 (3)

Continuation of AS 303. Open to all students. Leadership lab activities open only to ROTC students. (3 credit hours) Offered as needed.

AS 402 – National Security Affairs/ Preparation for Active Duty 2 (3)

Continuation of AS 401. Open to all students. Leadership lab activities open only to ROTC students. (3 credit hours) Offered as needed.
