Dr. Fred Moritz and his wife, Judy, live in North Carolina during the winter and summer months, living in Watertown only during the fall semester of each year. They have been married since 1963 and have two daughters. Their full-time church membership is at Community Baptist Church in Garner, North Carolina. Dr. and Mrs. Moritz attend Calvary Baptist Church in Watertown when they live in Wisconsin. Being of German descent, Dr. Moritz’s favorite food is German, and he is a die-hard Alabama Crimson Tide football fan. Although he lives in Packers country for four months out of the year, he still proudly displays his purple and gold NFL Vikings apparel to classes.

Dr. Fred Moritz served as a pastor for 18 years before going into evangelism from 1979 to 1981. God then called him to work at Baptist World Mission in Decatur, Alabama as Assistant to the General Director from 1981 until 1985, when he became Executive Director. He held the role of Executive Director through 2008. In 2009, he moved to Watertown, Wisconsin to begin as faculty at Maranatha Baptist Seminary.
