Charles Dickens: A Christmas Carol

Production Synopsis

Based upon the famous classic novel by Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol is a heartwarming tale of the transformation of Mr. Ebenezer Scrooge from a “squeezing, wrenching, grasping, scraping, clutching, covetous old sinner” to a generous and loving man. The ghost of Scrooge’s long-deceased business partner, Jacob Marley, unexpectedly visits one evening to offer Ebenezer a “chance and hope of escaping [his] fate.” Three subsequent visits from the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future finally stir Ebenezer to consider the stark reality of his impending doom if he does not alter the path he has chosen. Please join Maranatha Baptist University as we follow Scrooge, Bob Cratchit, Tiny Tim, nephew Fred, and other endearing characters, as Scrooge happily changes his selfish ways to capture the true spirit of the Christmas season.
