BACHELOR OF SCIENCE | PRE-PHARMACY

Overview | Pre-Pharmacy

If the excitement of science and medicine piques your interest, the Pre-Pharmacy program may be right for you. Learn from scientist Timothy Meier, previously of Eli Lilly and Company, and one of MBU’s Department of Science faculty members. The Bachelor of Science in Pre-Pharmacy program prepares undergraduate students to enter a doctoral-level program in Pharmacy. The degree includes all of the required course prerequisites necessary to be considered for acceptance into a doctor in pharmacy (PharmD) program. The program provides flexibility for a variety of specific entrance requirements.

 

Program Outcomes

Upon completion of the BS in Pre-Pharmacy program, students will

  • Gain a greater appreciation for the creative power and wisdom of our creator in the design and function of the human body.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of general principles in the biomedical and pharmaceutical field.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Research problems to develop expedient solutions.
  • Apply science and mathematics to solve complex problems including the analysis and interpretation of data from lab experiments.
  • Demonstrate behaviors required to succeed in the modern workplace including the ability to function effectively and ethically in a team environment.
