Operation Renewed Hope

Operation Renewed Hope has been used by the Lord in global relief efforts and humanitarian work. However, the main emphasis of ORH is the preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ—which is why ORH’s humanitarian and relief efforts work through Bible-believing missionaries and pastors. Through the ministry of “touching hearts and reaching souls,” ORH has assisted in planting many churches or enlarging the congregations of churches around the world and has served to enhance the status of numerous Bible-believing missionaries in foreign countries. MBU is pleased to partner with Operation Renewed Hope for the MEDICAL MISSIONS CONFERENCE. Over the last 25 years, ORH has:

  • Delivered humanitarian cargo shipments to Panama, Honduras, Cuba, Mali, Liberia, Zambia, Russia, Bosnia, Albania, and many other nations
  • Established and deployed mobile medical clinics in conjunction with Bible believing missionaries and evangelists
  • Assisted in Tsunami-stricken areas; installed water plants; conducted medical clinics at relief sites; worked in areas devastated by hurricanes at home and abroad
  • Enhanced the status of Bible-believing missionaries in foreign countries
  • Assisted in the planting of churches or the enlarging the congregations of churches around the world

Why Medical Missions?

To provide the opportunity for all men and women to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which is his death, burial and resurrection

To provide relief from physical and mental suffering to nations by shipping medical, educational and non-food humanitarian supplies and equipment, building medical facilities, and operating short-term medical clinics into remote locations

To provide opportunities for medical professionals, laypersons, and teens to serve God through short-term and long-term missions

MBU + Medical Missions

An important part of the MBU School of Nursing and MBU School of Applied Science experience includes ministering in a developing country. Several of our School of Nursing faculty members have traveled extensively and have ministered on multiple continents. Our nursing students gain from these experiences and have the opportunity to take a medical mission trip their senior year to see first-hand the needs of people in desperate areas. The MEDICAL MISSIONS CONFERENCE provides a true-to-life overview of medical missions worldwide. The baccalaureate degree program in nursing at Maranatha Baptist University is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (, 655 K Street, NW, Suite 750, Washington DC 20001, (202)887-6791.  Maranatha Baptist University is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission | | phone: 312.263.0456
