Auditing a Course

Learn for a fraction of the cost

Because online courses involve lots of reading and discussion, you can learn a lot simply by observing a course.

If you don’t have time to do all the assignments or the money to pay for a full class, consider auditing the course for 50% of the full online, undergraduate tuition price. (Senior citizen and HS scholarship discount does not apply if you are auditing.) Although you will not receive any credit for this course, you will have taken an opportunity to learn more about a subject and to become a life-long learner. A select number of audit spots are available for each course. Sign up early to reserve your spot.

Follow the typical admission process, indicating your audit interest on the online application.

A student wishing to change from taking a course for credit to auditing mid-course may do so under the following conditions:

  • The student must have a C- or above at the time of request.
  • The request must be made during the Withdrawal (“W”) Period. This ends at the end of Week 5 in online classes.
  • There is no financial adjustment made. An audit change mid-course will still be paid at full price.
