Former Bible Faculty Promoted to Heaven

Dr. Max Barnes was promoted to heaven Tuesday morning, July 9, 2019. Max served at MBU from 1970 until 2000. He was a Bible faculty member and also served as Dean of Students. Max was preceded in death in 2012 by his wife, Joy, who taught music at Maranatha for 30 years. He was a faithful Sunday school teacher and deacon at Calvary Baptist Church for many years. Please be in prayer for the family.
Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, July 14, with the funeral service to follow at 3 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Watertown. Following the burial at Ebenezer cemetery, a dinner will be served.
