The data entry assistant works with the staff administrative assistant to maintain various electronic tracking systems for Facilities Management Department and completes other tasks as assigned. Communications – Web Assistant
The ideal candidate is organized and detail-oriented. The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting the Web Master in transitioning all the web forms on the Maranatha website to a new web form host. Hours are 10 per week in the afternoon.
Communications – Archive Assistant
The ideal candidate is organized and detailed-oriented. The successful applicant will be responsible for scanning and organizing archived publications. Hours are 10 per week in the morning or the afternoon.
Communications – Photo/Video
The ideal candidate has a creative eye behind the camera, can operate a Canon DSLR (vs. Nikon or Sony), has a flexible schedule, and has a willingness to learn. Successful applicants will be expected to help document MBU programs and events. Hours vary.
Communications – Writer
The ideal candidates are sophomores and juniors, but freshmen and seniors are welcome to apply. The ideal candidate can have an interest in journalistic or creative writing. Each student writer will have their approved article posted on Maranatha’s blog (mbu.edu/blog). Hours vary.
Facilities – Carpenter’s Assistant
Facilities Management is seeking to hire a student to work as a carpenter’s assistant full-time over the remainder of the summer and up to 20 hours per week during the school year. The assistant will work on construction projects and will operate power tools. You can read the job description here. Must be 18 years of age.
Stage crew is looking for students to join the team. Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to: constructing stage settings for plays; setting lights; setting up and striking for all other productions on stage. You will need to be able to lift 50 pounds, use power tools, and work well with others. Having an artistic eye is a bonus. For more information, please contact Isaiah Oetken. Applications are being taken for fall semester for the following positions in the Custodial Department:
- Day Shift Custodians to clean both guys’ and ladies’ dorms, two hours daily between 2:00 and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- Night Shift Custodians to clean main buildings after hours, two hours daily from 10:00 p.m. until midnight, Monday through Friday.
- Weekend Cleaning Crew to clean main buildings. Must be available Saturday and Sunday nights, 10:00 p.m. until midnight.
- Chair crew for the chapel set-up and tear-down. Must have 2nd or 3rd hour free.
Kiddie Kampus – Summer/Seasonal
Kiddie Kampus Daycare and Preschool is hiring part-time summer employees to work 10-15 hours per week with the possibility of picking up more hours as a substitute. The consistent hours would be between the hours of 1:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m., Monday -Friday, through the end of August. Must be 18 years of age. Development – Student Caller Positions
The Development Office is looking for student callers to work both semesters of the coming school year. The purpose of the position is to help raise money for student scholarships by calling friends of Maranatha asking them to give to the Annual Fund. Applicants should have the ability to communicate clearly and personably over the phone and should be detail-oriented. It is also a plus for workers to be positive, self-motivated, goal-oriented students who have attended Maranatha for at least one semester; however, new students are also welcome to apply. Student callers will work from 5-9 pm on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings for a total of twelve hours per week. Academic Success Center – Tutors
The Academic Success Center is presently looking for tutors to join our team, specifically in the areas of general accountability, Greek, writing, Bible, math, music, accounting, and general ed. The MBU grounds department would like to hire two part-time grounds care workers to help maintain the lawn and landscaping on campus during the school semester. The ideal candidate should be comfortable operating zero turn lawn mowers and/or willing to work in the flower beds.
Campus Security is hiring students for the position of Campus Security Officer. Successful applicants must have a good deportment record. Other qualifications would include the ability to work late night or early morning shifts, including weekend shifts; the ability to work outdoors in all kinds of weather; the ability to work well with others and take directions from senior officers; attention to detail; ability to communicate politely and professionally; and the ability to stay calm and use good judgment in emergency situations.
