Celebrating 50 Years "To the Praise of His Glory"

Maranatha celebrates 50 years of fulfilling its mission to develop leaders for ministry in the local church and the world “To the Praise of His Glory.” We invite you to celebrate with us through several activities planned for the celebration of God's faithfulness to us, evidenced by each generation of MBU graduates.

Why Maranatha?

Maranatha continues to build upon a rich heritage of faithfulness to God’s Word and to biblical Baptist distinctives. MBU stands strong in principles, while advancing forward in the mission to train leaders for the local church and the world!

In September of 1968 Maranatha opened her doors for the first time, to over 200 students with a 27 member faculty; the first graduating class totaled 13. Today, MBU offers over 40 accredited degrees across a wide variety of majors, and has graduated over 5,000 students.

While Maranatha is beginning to see third-generation graduates, she also continues to attract new students with the excellent education and environment offered here. In the past three years MBU has drawn students from all 50 states, and over 20 countries.

With a rich history behind us, and hope for what God has ahead, we pray you will consider being a part of what God is doing through Maranatha “To the Praise of His Glory!”
