About Cherokee Ridge | Alabama

Cherokee Ridge provides an exceptional golfing experience, with immaculate greens set against a spectacular Appalachian backdrop. The 18-hole championship golf course takes every advantage of rolling hills, peaceful woods, lakes and streams – natural beauty that enhances, not punishes. Much of the front nine is guarded by a 17-acre lake: an added challenge but certainly beautiful diversion. The back nine turns through a forest of pines and hardwoods, with three holes reconfigured to include a view of an 40-foot waterfall cascading into Lynn’s Creek.

The 6,728-yard course was designed by golf course architect, Sammy Dean. The greens are professionally kept with bentgrass, and lush Bermuda fairways make short work of shots from the short grass.

Cherokee Ridge served as host to the Nike (now Korn Ferry) Tour’s Alabama Classic from 1994 to 1997. It is considered by most professional golf consultants to be one of North Alabama’s premier golf courses.
