Robert Loggans

Associate Professor
College of Bible and Church Ministries

Dr. Bob Loggans taught at Maranatha in 1981-1982, and then rejoined the faculty of Maranatha’s College of Bible and Church Ministries in 1993. As an alumnus of Maranatha Dr. Loggans worked very closely with our founders Dr. & Mrs. B. Myron Cedarholm, traveling thousands of miles together ministering in multitudes of local churches and promoting Maranatha.  Dr. Cedarholm’s passion for ministry and service was ingrained in Dr. Loggans.  Dr. Loggans pastored in Michigan for nearly eight years, followed by several years in full-time evangelism. In 1993 Dr. Arno Q. Weinger, the second President of Maranatha asked Dr. Loggans to join the faculty and staff as his assistant and Executive Vice-President. Twice Dr. Loggans served in the interim while Maranatha was involved in a presidential search. For the past twenty-three years, Dr. Loggans has served as the senior pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Watertown, Wisconsin. Dr. & Mrs. Loggans leads a “small group” Bible study on campus every Wednesday, disciplining students for the Lord. You will often see Dr. & Mrs. Loggans at college sporting events, recitals, plays, business breakfasts, and chapel services. They love the college students and have often said “One of the saddest days of the year is when the students leave for summer break. But, it is always exciting to have them return in the fall.”

Dr. Loggans serves on the executive committee of the board of Maranatha Baptist  University, as the President of the Wisconsin Association of Christian Schools, on the executive committee of Baptist World Mission, on the board of Camp Joy in Whitewater, Wisconsin and as the President of the New Testament Association of Independent Baptist Churches. He has served in the past as the President of the Wisconsin Fellowship of Baptist Churches.

Dr. & Mrs. Loggans have four children, all who attended Maranatha, seven grandchildren. Dr. Loggans enjoys visiting missionaries on their fields of service, hunting, watching college sports, running, reading, and spending time with his family.

Dr. Loggans has a fervent passion to challenge and train men for the ministry.  Dr. Loggans declares, “It is a wonderful privilege to mentor men for the ministry!” God has allowed Dr. Loggans vast ministry experience to be used to instill a passion for serving the Lord as pastors, missionaries, or evangelists.
