Experience
Ruth Brown began teaching at Maranatha in the fall of 2003. In addition to teaching at MBU, she has taught piano and music classes since 1984. Several of her hymn arrangements have been published through Hymn Notes—C & L Enterprises. In 1999 she and her husband recorded the CD “Lord, Be Glorified.” She has conducted hymnplaying seminars and piano workshops, played for TV and radio advertisements, taught in music camps, served as a Guild judge, and taught private piano lessons. Several of her high school students have placed first in the AACS National Competition and gone on to major in piano or music education.

About
Mrs. Brown is married to Dr. David Brown, who also teaches music at Maranatha. They serve at Calvary Baptist Church in Watertown, where Mrs. Brown accompanies for special music and congregational singing, plays for offertories, and assists in the Truth Trackers children’s ministry during the summer. Dr. and Mrs. Brown have two children, Audrey and Will. Mrs. Brown loves Southern living, since she was born in the south, and enjoys biking, tennis and walking, as well as reading.
