Johns Moves to Full-time Faculty

Mr. Timothy Johns will be transitioning out of the Student Life Office into the College of Bible and Church Ministries as a full-time faculty member in the Fall of 2022.

Johns holds an MA in Biblical Counseling from Maranatha Baptist Seminary, a BA in Business Management from Maranatha Baptist University, and an in-progress Doctor of Ministry with an emphasis in Biblical Counseling from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary

He has a heart for the students as he has worked with the Student Life Office since 2001. Johns was a Resident Assistant for the 2001-2002 school year, Dorm Supervisor from 2002-2006, and the Dean of Men since 2013. From 2006-2013, Johns served as the Administrative Assistant to the Deans, Director of Campus Security, and Assistant Office Manager.

Mr. Mark Herbster, Dean of the College of Bible and Church Ministries, states, “Tim Johns has been involved in personal counseling at MBU for many years.  He has gained so much experience by being the Dean of Men, and now I am thrilled to welcome him to our Bible faculty. Tim Johns is well prepared to take charge and lead our counseling department. He is a great addition to our full-time faculty!”

Johns has taught Biblical Counseling courses at MBU since 2011 on a part-time basis and will be assuming his new full-time faculty responsibilities in the Fall of 2022.
